World Cup Subway Etiquette Campaign

Korea is going nuts over the Soccerball World Cup, with pretty much any advertisment either on print or on TV having a World Cup theme. This has been extended to a new subway etiquette campaign on the first four lines of the Seoul subway system, which are managed by Seoul Metro.

Despite the fact that they feature one of Korea's most annoying boy-band stars, I like the idea, and I hope that one day there will be no need for this type of thing anymore. Having said that, I have been being amused by similar campaigns for the last four and a half years, so I'm not holding my breath.

This one says "Offside Fouls are Hated!" and instructs people to wait for people to get off the train before getting on. It says "If you get on first, it is an offside foul".

The second one says that "A Subway Seat is not a Soccer Goal". It says that on the subway it is a foul to spread your legs like a goalkeeper, or read your newspaper opened out all the way.

For anyone who is interested, the writing in the top left corner says, "Seoul Metro, global leader in city transportation, creating passenger happiness". The blue circle in the bottom right contains the slogan, "Happy Train - 100 Times the Enjoyment".
