Light Complaints
I shouldn't complain, because they fixed my sink and I can now wash dishes properly for the first time in almost a year. However, I also asked them to fix my light, which wasn't working, and they fixed it wrong, which is even more annoying than having it broken before. I should also add that they fixed it without my permission consent or supervision, by letting themselves into my place while I was at work.
Background: All the lights in my place except for two are white fluorescent lights, which make everything look all nice and modern, but also make me feel like I'm in a hospital operating room sometimes. The two non-fluorescent lights are little yellowish halogen ones. One has always been broken, and the other alone has never been enough to cast the amount of soft light that I need to do stuff.
Anyway, during the yearly inspection last month I pointed out absolutely every fault and defect in my whole apartment, much to the amusement of the real-estate agent who conducted the inspection, including the cupboard doorknob that I fixed myself, much to the later amusement of the repair guys, one of whom informed the other, "Foreigners like to fix things themselves".
Photo 1: This is both pre and ost-repair. Note that the light on the right is on, but the identical one on the left is off.

Photo 2: This is post-repair. When I turn on the switch for the kitchen light, both it and the other yellow light turn on. This is after I had explained to the guy exactly why I wanted it fixed - because one yellow light is too dim to do anything with, and the other lights make me feel like I'm in a public toilet.

The solution: I bought a bedside light which is nice and soft, and lights the room nicely without blasting me awake with whiteness, and which works well on a dim setting in combination with the small yellow light on the right.
