I'm Looking for the Bus Guy!
I was originally going to translate the article accompanying this photo, but it's all conjecture, and boring information about how the topic became the number one search term.
The girl stuck the leaflet up at a bus stop, and somebody took a photo and put it on Twitter. Articles about this then became the top 2 most viewed news stories of last week on Naver, in the Society section - the overall most viewed stories are almost all sports news pieces. This article came in 29th overall, but 1st in Society.
Later in the week it was revealed that the girl, although flattered by the huge volume of replies from random guys that she received, was distressed by rumours among netizens that she is an "orc girl" (오크녀 - Korean slang for an extremely ugly girl) and considered revealing her true identity to prove that she isn't ugly, but then decided not to out of fear of internet bullying. contemporary Cinderella Story, eh? This reminds me of a movie Hilary Duff starred in, the title is also Cinderella Story. Except the role is reversed in this situation. Ha, very interesting. I hope she found the guy? Because personally I think it's really sweet of her to innocently put that flier with her email. Not wise, but yeah, sweet. :)
